The first phase of the project focused on excavation and the relocation of existing utilities to accommodate the installation of concrete foundations for three new structures: the Biogas Building, the Motor Control Center (MCC), and the Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) Building. These new facilities are strategically located between two operational factories — Greenpac and Cascades — requiring precise coordination to avoid disruption to ongoing operations.
Sumitomo Rubber USA Decommissioning Project
The Sumitomo Decommissioning Project involved a detailed and highly coordinated effort to safely remove and prepare specialized manufacturing equipment for transport. The scope of work included the disconnection of all utilities — including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems — serving 54 PCR (Passenger Car Radial) tire press machines.
Chase Commons
The former Presbyterian Home, located on High Street in Lockport, served the community as an assisted living facility from its opening in 1959 until its closure. Through an extensive rehabilitation effort, the existing buildings were repurposed into 50 modern apartment units, while preserving key architectural elements that reflect the property’s original character. The redevelopment delivered approximately 40,000 square feet of finished residential space now available for lease.

Silver Creek Central School District
BCC was awarded the Construction Management Services contract for Silver Creek CSD in June 2024. Over the following months, we worked closely with the District and their design team to finalize plans and successfully secure approval for the largest Capital Improvement Project in the District’s history in December 2024.

The Rails at 2939 Main Street is the type of development many hoped would be spurred by the opening of the light rail forty years ago (40!!!). It’s also a preview to what development around the LaSalle light rail station could be if the City ever picks a developer. Project proposals were due in June 2022 (2 years!!!).
Construction Watch: Wood & Brooks Lofts
Construction is winding down on the Wood & Brooks Lofts, an adaptive reuse project located at 2101 Kenmore Avenue in Tonawanda, on the border of Buffalo’s Riverside neighborhood. Frontier Insulation Contractors Inc. and Thermal Foams Inc. have owned the complex for more than 50 years and the Wopperer family is now renovating the largest building on the site.

SUNY Geneseo: Sturges and Fraser Hall Renovations
The Sturges Hall renovation transformed this historic 1938 building into a modern, 43,000-square-foot space supporting academic and student services.
The Fraser Hall renovation will provide four classrooms, a Prayer, Meditation, and Reflection Room, the Hillel center, and the LGBTQ+ Resource Center on the first floor, along with a vibrant lobby, café, lounge, and conference rooms.
SUNY Binghamton Lecture Hall Building
The new building will serve as a dynamic hub for students, offering diverse learning spaces and an Information Commons for studying and collaboration. It will accommodate current and future demand for large classes and provide more scheduling flexibility for both faculty and students.
Lyndonville Central School District
The project brings a range of significant upgrades to the district, enhancing both athletic facilities and school buildings. A new synthetic track will surround a natural grass regulation soccer field, with improved drainage to keep the site in top condition. This upgrade allows the school to host home track meets for the first time in over a decade while also providing a valuable recreational space for the community.

Wood & Brooks Lofts
Buffalo Construction Consultants is serving as the construction manager on the Wood & Brooks Lofts mixed-use renovation project. The Wood & Brooks Building has a long history in Buffalo. In 1901, Wood & Brooks founder, Charles Raymond Wood, opened a piano key factory in Tonawanda and in 1911, moved to the current Kenmore Avenue site. The factory, which once produced 125,000 piano keys yearly, closed altogether in 1970.
The Treasury
After a successful partnership on several Greater Buffalo housing projects, Buffalo Construction Consultants (BCC) was selected as construction manager for Douglas Development Corporation’s downtown Syracuse project: The Treasury apartment complex and its on-site event space, Palladian Hall.
McCarley Gardens
Buffalo Construction Consultants was selected by BFC Partners to manage the construction of new housing units as part of the City of Buffalo’s McCarley Gardens redevelopment project. While a separate firm handled the rehabilitation of existing units, BCC focused on the construction of four two-story townhome buildings, comprising 15 new housing units that replaced a small group of demolished apartments in the northwest corner of the site.
Seneca Nation Cattaraugus Health Clinic
In early 2023, Buffalo Construction Consultants was selected by the Seneca Nation of Indians to provide construction management services for their new health clinic in Irving, NY.
Vintage Flats
Buffalo Construction Consultants was selected by McGuire Development Company as the construction manager for the $7 million Vintage Flats adaptive reuse housing project in Buffalo’s historic Black Rock neighborhood. Located near Chandler Street and the Pierce Arrow Lofts, the former Buerk Tool & Machine Corp. tool shop has been transformed into a vibrant residential community featuring 33 boutique one- and two-bedroom apartments, each with a unique footprint and layout, enhancing the project’s authenticity.
