Buffalo, NY
Completion Date: 2020

Buffalo Construction Consultants, Inc. (BCC) completed this $24 million mixed-use development in Fall 2020 for Cedarland Development. As the first five-story wood-framed building in Buffalo, it is located at the southeast corner of Main and Dodge Streets, near the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

The 130,000 sq. ft. building includes 217 apartments—85 one-bedroom, 15 two-bedroom, and 115 studio units. The ground floor features three commercial spaces, residential amenities, office space, and co-working areas, while the fifth floor offers an interior lounge, a virtual reality room, and a rooftop deck to attract young professionals and University at Buffalo students.

BCC’s early involvement ensured the project met the client’s pro-forma and design goals, achieved through close collaboration with the owner and architect.

The project also included a Track One unrestricted Brownfield Clean-up, with BCC coordinating site design and preparation with the Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) consultant to maximize tax credits.

Situated near major institutions like Gates Vascular Institute, Conventus, Roswell Park, and the University at Buffalo Medical School, this development is a key addition to Buffalo’s urban landscape.
