Completion Date: 2021

As part of Phase 2 of the Rochester School Modernization Program, the renovation and addition project at Flower City School #54, a Pre-K through 6th grade program, was completed in 2020 by the team at Buffalo Construction Consultants (BCC) and design partner LaBella Associates.

In April 2018, BCC was hired as construction manager for Phase 2D of the Rochester Schools Modernization Program. The $23 million project at Flower City School #54 project included the demolition of existing modular classrooms as well as a two-story addition. The scope of work consisted of upgrades to the mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems and the reconfiguration and renovation of interior spaces and classrooms. Additionally, hazardous materials abatement, site improvements, new public address and fire alarm systems, and installation of security cameras, card access and education-based technology were included.

This project was completed on-time and under-budget by the BCC team.
