The renovation project encompassed extensive upgrades throughout the building to enhance accessibility, safety, and functionality. Classrooms, toilet rooms, and common areas underwent complete renovations, including updated finishes and the addition of ADA-compliant entries. The building’s exterior received a significant transformation with the replacement of curtainwall systems, windows, and doors. A new roofing system was installed to improve durability and weather resistance.
To ensure a safe environment, hazardous materials were removed from the building. Mechanical upgrades included the replacement of boilers and HVAC systems, with air conditioning added for improved climate control. Plumbing systems, including all piping and fixtures, were fully replaced to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Electrical system upgrades featured the installation of a new transformer and generator, along with modern lighting, a fire alarm system, a PA system, and updated clocks. The site improvements included reworked and expanded parking areas, a new entryway to the building, and a designated bus staging area. Additionally, a new playground was added, providing enhanced outdoor recreational space for students.
