RSMP: Edison Career & Technology High School
As part of Phase 2 of the Rochester School Modernization Program, the renovation project at Edison Career and Technology High School, a career and technical education-focused program, was completed in 2020 by the team at Buffalo Construction Consultants (BCC) and design partner LaBella Associates.
BCC completed multiple phases of work on the Edison Technical Campus. In the spring of 2018, our team began structural repairs within the building and reprogramming approximately 50,000 sq. ft. of classroom space. The next phase of the project included site work, roof repairs, structural repairs, and significant classroom and programmatic space upgrades.
The renovations at Edison Career and Technology High School included the opening of two newly remodeled facilities: Digital Media Arts and Communication (DMAC) pathway and the Automotive, Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, and Welding pathway. Several art rooms were also remodeled, which helped to convert Edison into a 21st-century high school.
This project was completed on-time and under-budget by the BCC team.
