The Police

Buffalo Construction Consultants, Inc. has been selected by Douglas Development to be the construction manager on the adaptive re-use of this historic downtown Buffalo property. The project features the transformation of the former Buffalo Police headquarters at the corner of Franklin and Church Streets. 

The 130,000-square-foot art-deco style building will be converted into 92 studio and 38 one-bedroom apartments across four floors – plus a preserved jail-cell block that will be restored and highlighted. The units will average approximately 450 square feet and 750 square feet in size, respectively. The project began in Spring 2020.


The Grid at 1159 Main - Buffalo, NY

In September 2018, Buffalo Construction Consultants, Inc. was selected as Construction Manager for Cedarland Development to construct a new five-story mixed-use project at the southeast corner of Main and Dodge streets. 

The 128,000 sq. foot building will include about 215 apartments – 85 one-bedroom, 15 two-bedroom and 115 studio units – across all five floors. The ground floor will include three commercial spaces, plus residential amenities, office and co-working space. The fifth floor will feature an interior lounge and virtual reality room with an adjacent exterior rooftop deck. Project completion is scheduled for summer 2020.


Rails on Main - Buffalo, NY

In February of 2018, Buffalo Construction Consultants, Inc. was hired by Main and Hertel LLC in the role of Construction Manager-At-Risk on their student-oriented housing project. The project is a new five-story, 300 plus bed housing facility with a 2,350 sq. ft. retail space, geared for students of the University at Buffalo south campus and the new medical school, Canisius College, Medaille College and SUNY Buffalo State.  

The building will consist of two-bedroom units, studio units and one-bedroom micro units. The project features a retail component and such amenities as a fitness center, clubhouse and meeting rooms for students and tenants. The project includes site clean-up and remedies as part of the NYS brownfield clean-up program.
